At the core of the Alliance’s vision for EHRS adoption is leveraging the technology for advanced uses of data that directly benefit the patient. The EHRS implementation model developed by the Alliance encourages standardized data entry such that data can be used for individual patient care, or aggregated for population-level analyses. Two of the critical uses of data by the Alliance are for 1) Research, and 2) Tracking Performance on Quality Measures (Performance Improvement).
• Research
• Quality Measures / Dashboards

The Alliance provides its member health centers detailed dashboards reports of performance on national quality measures on a monthly basis. These reports can be drilled down to individual provider-level or patient-level detail by each health center, and can also be stratified by race, ethnicity, and primary language to identify disparities in care. The measures provided by the Alliance cover the following topics:
• Diabetes
• Coronary Artery Disease
• Preventive Care and Screening
• HIV/AIDS
• Hypertension
In an effort to provide a comprehensive picture of quality at its health centers, the Alliance monitors a portfolio of different types of measures, including:
• Clinical Quality Measures
• Patient Satisfaction Measures
• System Use Measures
• IT System Performance Measures
• Provider Satisfaction Measures
• 2007 NACHC Performance Excellence Presentation
• Access to Care Metric
• Patient Satisfaction Survey
• EHRS System Utilization Metrics
• EHRS User Survey Results
